Elsecar Rock Gem 'n' Bead Show

Yes we'll be at the Elsecar Heritage Centre this weekend 26th & 27th June with a show not only full of crystals, minerals, fossils, gemstones, gem and bead jewellery but also a whole host of Bead and bead making suppliers.

So if you live nearby or in Yorkshire and you like stones, fossils and anything rock come and see us.

That includes everyone interested in Crystal Healing - you'll never see such a comprehensive collection of stones at any other show, all at the best prices as well!

Kempton Park Show and Donation to Comic Relief

Our first Kempton Park show of the year (and the first March Kempton since 2007) took place on 14th/15th March. The weather was sunny and warm which unfortunately doesn’t help with visitor numbers as at this time of year many people are tidying up gardens/visiting garden centres etc. However, there was the usual hard core of regulars which kept the numbers respectable. Rock and Gem Ltd had committed to donating a proportion of the admission fees to Comic Relief and I am pleased to announce that a donation of £235 was made to this excellent cause – many thanks to all our visitors who contributed by their attendance. While we were in London we took the opportunity to visit the Alexandra Palace to check on progress for our return there in May – again our first visit since 2007. Happy to report that everthing is going well and we are looking forward to a great show at this prestigious venue.

York Racecourse 21st/22nd Feb 2009

This was another combined Rock ‘n’ Gem and Gem ‘n’ Bead show at this excellent venue where for a change the weather was kind to us. There was a real buzz to the event on Saturday, but it was quieter on Sunday (which is normal).
As usual we had customers from Scotland and Newcastle down for this event – our thanks for their support.
Sunday is always a good family day and we have lots of children in attendance.

Newton Abbot Racecourse 7th/8th Feb 2009

The week will be remembered by all for the heaviest snowfalls for over 15 years! At the racecourse and in Newton Abbot itself there was no snow at all, yet less than 20 miles away roads were impassable! We have never received so many phone calls from customers asking if the show was still on – so much so that we had announcements on Devon Radio to confirm it. This obviously affected numbers, but our grateful thanks to all those customers and exhibitors who managed to fight their way through.

Second event of 2009 at Chepstow Racecourse 31st Jan/1st Feb

This event featured both Rock ‘n’ Gem and Gem ‘n’ Bead shows. The torrential rain during the week finally subsided on Friday and the weekend was bright but there was a bitterly cold wind on the Sunday.
Despite this, attendance was excellent and far higher than last year – our thanks to the people of Wales and the surrounding area for their support.

1st Show of 2009 at The Hop Farm Kent 24th / 25th January

Even though it was cold and wet, attendance was good and everyone visiting the show enjoyed it thoroughly!
Comments such as 'shame it's only once a year' & 'I always visit this show' were overheard by exhibitors.
